Clinical Pharmacology, Vall d'Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR)

The Clinical Pharmacology group (CP) is positioned within the CP Department of Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. Furthermore,it is part of the Foundation Catalan Institute of Pharmacology (FICF) and of the Institute of Research Vall d’Hebron (VHIR) Its main research field is pharmacoepidemiology,with a special focus on the patterns of medicines utilization,effectiveness,and adverse effects in usual clinical practice. CP group as FICF participant has contributed to the following activities: It is a member of the “The European Consortium “EU PE&PV Network” (European Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance Network)”,(2) It was a partner in the PROTECT Project,a public-private consortium funded by IMI Initiative and,(3) It is also part of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The group continues the international training activities through its participation in the European master's in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology (Eu2P) and hosting fellow researchers.
