The Unit is a joint venture between the University of Milan and the L. Sacco Hospital consisting of 5 senior researchers/MDs,5 technicians and 10 fellows. The laboratory of the Unit (150 sqm) carries out diagnostic and research services in pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenetics on a panel of approximately 100 drugs. The Unit also has a Phase I facility and a pharmacovigilance group. Our research focus is on ADME and safety in children and elderly with a focus on vaccination issues. We carry out field studies and database analysis. We have developed a programme dedicated to vaccine safety and efficacy in patients affected by autoimmune diseases.
