Lisboa, Setúbal and Santarém Pharmacovigilance Centre (UFLSS), Faculty of Pharmacy University of Lisbon

The Lisbon, Setúbal, and Santarém Pharmacovigilance Unit/Centre (UFLSS) is based at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and provides Pharmacovigilance services to the Portuguese competent authority, INFARMED, I.P. The UFLSS is one of the 9 regional Pharmacovigilance Units/Centers that make up the National Pharmacovigilance System in Portugal. Its main activities consist of receiving, validating, processing, causality assessment, and electronic submission to Eudravigilance of spontaneous reports of suspected adverse reactions, reported by healthcare professionals and citizens in the region under its responsibility. Additionally, the UFLSS is dedicated to training future and current healthcare professionals in its region on the topic of drug safety/pharmacovigilance and promoting this area to the general population. The UFLSS also conducts, in collaboration with other entities, studies in its area of interest, drug safety.
