The Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos (ULSM) has reached maturity in the excellence of integrated health care provision, becoming a reference for other health care providers. A pioneer and forerunner, the first Local Health Unit in the country is focused on Health promotion, in a holistic, integrated and personalized way, relying on the involvement of the municipality and all organizations in society.

The life of ULSM is inclusive, from the reconciliation of all its aspects to its sustainability, from training and differentiation to the achievement and confidence of human resources, from scientific and technological development to people-centered care, from the physical and social environment to quality policies, from certification to the control of operating costs, from information technology to personal and face-to-face communication with professionals and users.

Throughout this time we have learned from all those who have been here to care, organize, integrate, or train, regarding our health. Health that we need to improve by creating value in our lives.
