Instituto Português de Oncologia does Porto is an international benchmark for oncological treatment, research, and education. Based in Porto, Portugal, it covers 3.7M inhabitants and is part of a nationwide network delivering the most advanced oncological treatments. It encompasses several Portuguese reference centers, namely for colorectal, oesophageal, and hepatobiliary-pancreatic (>7k patients/year), testicles, soft tissues- and bone-sarcoma cancers (~11k patients/year), as well as for paediatric oncology (~800 patients/year).
The IPO-P treats circa 10.000 new patients per year, currently providing healthcare to more than 45.000 patients, and is structured into Specialized Clinics e.g. the Breast Cancer Clinic.
