Hillel Yaffe Medical Center is a general hospital with 541 beds and a part of a network with 25 Governmental hospitals in Israel, additional to the common departments the hospital special Trauma department for road accident and terror attack casualties.
The hospital locate at the center of Israel and serves a population of approximately 500,000 inhabitants. The patient population of the hospital is highly varied, representing the full range of Israel's population: Urban and Rural areas, veteran residents as well as new immigrants form the former Soviet Union, Ethiopia and other countries, High, medium and low socio economic stratus, different religion like Jews, Muslims and Christians, farmers, industrial workers and service-sector employees.
Our center of excellence is Ophthalmology department that uses the most innovative technologies and is leading the establishment of the first remote follow-up clinic after glaucoma surgeries in Israel and probably in the world, using intraocular pressure monitoring.
In addition, an advanced orthopedics department that specializes in minimally invasive spine surgeries as well as an oncology orthopedics unit that uses bone-simulating implants produced by 3D printers, the medical center is also specializes in the treatment of Oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD) and has a leading obstetrics and gynecology department with an IVF unit.
On the academic and research aspects, Hillel Yaffe medical center has partnership with the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, one of the world's 10 top science and technology research universities.
