LSHTM as an Institution is Britain's national school of public health and a leading postgraduate institution worldwide. Part of the University of London,it is the largest institution of its kind in Europe with major depth & breadth of expertise encompassing many disciplines. It is about the 3rd highest-rated research institution in the UK.There are ~4000 students from >100 countries in 22 taught masters courses locally (~650) or by distance learning (~2700),& doing PhDs (~400). There are ~1300 staff drawn from over 60 countries.Research collaborations exist with >100 countries worldwide,utilizing our critical mass of multidisciplinary expertise which includes clinicians,epidemiologists,statisticians,social scientists,molecular biologists and immunologists.
