Hippocrates Research (HR) is a full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded in 1995 and part of the Hippocrates Group, with offices in Genoa, Italy, and Lugano, Switzerland. Among the largest domestic CROs in Italy, HR has been authorised by the Italian Drug Agency (AIFA) to conduct regulatory studies since 1998. HR operates a proprietary qualified eCRF platform integrated with ePRO and e-TMF systems, enabling decentralised and fully digital clinical trials with reduced on-site visits and extensive remote data collection. With more than 3,600 activated clinical sites and over 200 studies delivered across Europe, HR supports complex national and multinational clinical programs.
The company maintains strong quality and compliance standards through ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO UNI PDR 125:2022 certification for gender equality, and EcoVadis sustainability certification. HR is also an active member of major industry organisations, including SSFA, EUCROF, AICRO, and GIQAR, and has been registered in the ENCePP database since 2006. Since 2026, Hippocrates Research has been a member of the Swiss Biotech Association.
