Institute of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology (IMSIE Cologne)

The Institute for Medical Statistics,Informatics and Epidemiology (IMSIE) belonging to the faculty of the University of Cologne is a non-profit research organisation. Tasks are to promote preclinical as well as clinical research. The IMSIE serves public and private institutions of the health service,the pharmaceutical and the medical-technical industries with design,planning and organisation,performance,analysis and publication of research projects. Mentioned research projects are such as pharmacological studies phase I,clinical studies phase II to IV,and observational studies according to the German 'Arzneimittelgesetz' (AMG). Furthermore the IMSIE offers development in the domains of life quality,health-economical re-analyses of study data bases,and the preparation of systematic reviews as well as meta-analyses.
