Institution description
The research group pharmacoepidemiology analyses the use and the effect of drugs in populations. The main focus of our research is the population-based evaluation of adverse drug reactions and drug effects in different patient groups. As basis for pharmacoepidemiological analyses, we analyze data from multiple sources, including primary and secondary data. These data offer pharmacoepidemiological research with large longitudinal samples on a broad population-based level. The aim is to assess effectiveness and safety of pharmacotherapy. Thus, pharmacoepidemiological analyses contribute to drug safety. We are engaged in several national and international scientific collaborations.
