Southwest Finland Wellbeing Services County (VarHa)

Southwest Finland wellbeing services county and Auria Clinical Informatics (formerly the Hospital District of Southwest Finland (HDSF)),containing Turku University Hospital,is one of the five university hospitals in Finland. It covers the public specialist health care and most emergency health care in the area of Southwest Finland (Varsinais-Suomi) for all demographic groups. The data is utilized for scientific research from the data lake in the HDSF under the Finnish legislation (The Act on Secondary Use of Health and Social Data). Our data will hopefully expand starting from 2023 due to the health care reform that will combine secodary and tertiary health care (=us),primary health care and social care under on register. The integration of this data will take a considerable amount of time but will make our data much more diverse and useful. The first steps that we will take 2023 will be to include primary health care lab,radiology and pathology data into our warehouse and the CDM.
