Institution description
PHDc is a multidisciplinary team using big data and real-world evidence to improve healthcare through research and collaboration. The Population Health Data Center (PHDc) aligns its mission with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and other specific sustainable development goals. Our center aims to improve causal inference and strengthen the clinical value of big data in a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive manner. We leverage data from observational studies, clinical trials, and healthcare surveys, and apply either direct or indirect data linkages to enrich the data structure. Using pharmacoepidemiologic designs and advanced statistical models, we inform decision-making, enhance clinical care quality, quantify disease burdens, support drug approvals, explore drug repurposing opportunities, and assess the economic and market impacts. All of this is done while promoting responsible medicine use and integrating sustainable practices.
