Established in 1994 by ex-NHS pharmacy staff, Nova Laboratories is a privately owned company operating under MHRA licenses in five business areas: 'Specials' compounding, clinical manufacturing, commercial manufacturing, support services, and own branded licensed products. Initially focused on supplying sterile and non-sterile compounded products to hospitals, community pharmacies, and healthcare professionals in the UK and Eire, Nova has since developed a pipeline of licensed, oral paediatric formulations of long-established drugs used in rare and niche diseases. Additionally, Nova provides sterile and non-sterile clinical trials medication to a global customer base. With extensive expertise in high-integrity, gassed isolator technology, clinical manufacturing of parenterals and devices has become Nova's largest and fastest-growing activity, while also enabling the development of commercial manufacturing processes for specialist sterile products.
